They are headquartered in Baltimore, MD with multiple satellite locations across the US, and are doing business all over the world.

Multimedia shows including Rihanna, Jay Z, Lady Gaga

Professional and College Sports - NFL (Ravens, Chargers, etc.) NCAA Championship Game & Playoffs, NHL, NBA

Custom Private Events

Customized Installations - permanent and temporary at locations like Walt Disney World & Smithsonian Institutions

Our strength lies in our engineering department is focused on creating custom practical special effects that the world has never seen before. With an in-house team of mechanical, electrical, and integration/show control engineers, we can design exactly what our clients are looking for from the ground up. Our in-house team of fabricators and assemblers bring these designs to life with the use of cutting-edge equipment. As our newest division, permanent and themed entertainment installations is poised as Our Client’s next chapter of growth.


Day to Day Defined


The Director of Engineering is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Engineering division. Under their leadership, the Engineering division will scale and grow to meet the needs of our expanding client base in the permanent installation and Themed Entertainment industry. This leader will work directly with the Vice President, of Operations to chart the course for the department, enacting process improvements and advising on necessary personnel hiring and equipment procurement.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Oversee, manage, and mentor the Manager of Engineered Products, Electrical, Mechanical, and Integration/Show Controls engineers
  • Work with the Director of Research & Development to set the course for the engineering division
  • Advise leadership on necessary resource planning requirements, hiring, and equipment acquisition
  • Act as a mentor to junior engineers and assist the engineering management team in honing their management skills and development
  • Manage overall departmental budget and forecast financial profit/liabilities with the Vice President, Operations
  • Oversee project budgets and engage in cost management strategies during R&D and production phases
  • Communicate technical information regarding specific projects and general departmental operations to non-technical stakeholders
  • This includes but is not limited to executive leadership and clients
  • Organize, plan, and document department processes and procedures
  • Oversee multiple projects in different phases concurrently while assisting the engineering team to ensure deadlines are met or flag issues to leadership/client teams
  • Refine and build out departmental processes to improve overall efficiency
  • Lead the team in the institution of increased quality control programs
  • Act as a consulting engineer on projects reviewing project work


Qualifications


  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in engineering for manufacture
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a team
  • Able to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment on projects with short lifecycles
  • Previous experience with project and product management
  • Ability to review, understand, and make recommendations to engineered product designs
  • Ability to view a problem from multiple angles, understand the issues while utilizing critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of live events, entertainment, and themed entertainment industries
  • Excellent budgetary management skills
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management
  • Experience with Solidworks
  • Experience with Altium PCB design software a plus
