Role Description
This is a full-time Associate Attorney role with a focus on Workers' Compensation defense. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in workers' compensation cases, conducting legal research, attending hearings, providing legal advice, negotiating settlements, and handling day-to-day litigation tasks. This is a hybrid role, based in our Meriden office with flexibility for some remote work.
Qualifications
- Legal research and analysis skills
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation laws and regulations required
- Experience in labor and employment law
- Negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensure to practice law in the state of Connecticut
- Experience in insurance defense is a plus
