Store Manager

Hand In Pocket (www.handinpocket.com), a faced paced and rapidly growing women’s clothing boutique, is seeking a highly motivated self starter who has a passion for customer service and fashion. As a store manager you will manage the day-to-day activities of the store from opening to closing and after hours events to ensure profitability, collaboration, beauty and outstanding service.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Plan, delegate and follow up on expected tasks to ensure goals are met
- Assist team by driving business results to maximize sales plan, and manage expenses through operational/sales leadership
- Focus, support and prepare team to balance customer experience with operational tasks
- Ensure the highest level of customer care in line with Hand In Pocket's specific service expectations and selling standards
- Uses product knowledge and selection to work with social media, online and marketing teams to develop content for promotions and digital marketing content
- Assists in online inventory management and order fulfillment for handinpocket.com
- Performs buying assistant duties: organize buying trips, price and import styles in POS, edit PO’s from buying trips
- Perform merchandising tasks, such as stock, re-merchandising, display, price markdowns and store maintenance
Qualifications
- Retail know-how with hands on experience managing all aspects of a store from the stockroom to the sales floor
- Must have a good eye for how to present things and put them together
- Minimum 2 years experience working in specialty women's apparel industry is a MUST management experience in a fashion retail environment strongly preferred
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals- Understanding of retail profit measures
- Ability to lead a team in a fast paced, environment
- Driven to deliver superior service by exceeding customer expectations
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers and co-workers
- Able to work well as a team player in a fast-paced entrepreneurial work environment
- Proven ability to plan, set and achieve goals
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
- Presents a professional image in appearance, words and actions
- Be a self-starter and use good judgment in all situations
- Proficient with MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with Canva, Klaviyo and Shopify a plus
