We are looking for a Plant Manager in our Muskego, WI Facility -


The Plant Manager plans, manages, and directs all phases of plant activities for a single-site manufacturing plant including production, quality, maintenance, and shipping/receiving. Responsible for achieving efficient and economical production consistent with customer needs, production schedules, company quality, safety, and profit goals.


  • Promote a culture of safety and quality in all aspects of the operations.
  • Develop objectives, policies, and plans for the plant’s activities to meet or exceed the company’s strategic plans.
  • Coordinate the integration of workflow, timely production, conformance to budgets, and proper utilization of personnel, skills, machines, and equipment.
  • Supervise programs essential to manufacturing procedures such as training, safety, environmental, housekeeping, work simplification, cost reduction, quality improvement, etc.
  • Assist in the development of new products.
  • Ensure products conform to quality and delivery specifications as well as customer expectations.
  • Drive sustained continuous improvement activities and results using Lean, Six Sigma, and other tools.
  • Implement and share best practices and proactively support corporate-wide activities.


Plant policies and procedures:

  • Coordinate plant policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Promote a safe and healthy working environment and compliance with federal and state safety regulations.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance including those related to environmental and transportation areas together with identification, handling, and disposal of hazardous wastes.
  • Ensure conformance with company work rules.
  • Manage plant practices and procedures in compliance with Company and industry standards (e.g., ISO-9001-2015).


Annual plans - operating/capital expense, key measures, operating efficiency, and cost control.

  • Recommend operating and capital expense budgets for the facility.
  • Coordinate projects such as expansion of facilities, acquisitions, and installation of capital equipment, major repairs and overhauls, plant layout changes, etc.
  • Proactively manage capital equipment expense projects to improve manufacturing reliability and robustness.
  • Research new equipment and recommend changes or replacements.
  • Oversees, directs, and has financial oversight for facility and equipment maintenance.
  • Achieve plant KPI targets for production, quality, safety, financial, human resources, and environmental metrics.
  • Evaluate staffing levels to meet production requirements.


Manufacturing staff:

  • Coordinate and guide activities in the areas of manufacturing, facility maintenance, Lean, housekeeping/5S, quality enhancements, staffing, training, employee relations, and other related activities.
  • Plan and establish the organizational structure, relationships, functions, and line of authority for each work area.
  • Train and assist subordinates in the proper handling of responsibilities.
  • Maintain positive employee relations.
  • Assist in union contract negotiations as needed.
  • Ensure further development of employees through performance evaluation, development of training plans, feedback, coaching, and cascade training.
  • Participate in monthly meetings with employees to communicate the state of business.
  • Promote and support community and employee engagement initiatives.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Operations Management; Industrial Engineering; Manufacturing Engineering; Supply Chain; Business Administration; or related field preferred but not required.
  • 7-10 years of manufacturing and progressively responsible manufacturing supervision/management experience.
  • Practical experience and working knowledge of Basic Equipment Care (BEC) and Preventive Maintenance Optimization (PMO) systems for machinery, tooling, and gauges.
  • Practical experience applying Lean principles and Total Quality Production System (TQPS) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.


Other Qualifications:

  • The ability to speak conversational Spanish is a plus.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time to visit customers, vendors, suppliers, and other manufacturing sites.
  • Requires a valid driver's license.
