Job Description: We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join our team. The Junior Estimator will work closely with senior estimators and project managers to assist in analyzing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring accuracy throughout the bidding process. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in analyzing project specifications and requirements to determine costs and feasibility.
  • Review blueprints, drawings, and other documents to identify project requirements and scope.
  • Collaborate with senior estimators to prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to develop comprehensive estimates.
  • Research and source materials and subcontractor pricing.
  • Prepare bid packages and assist in the submission of bids and proposals.
  • Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to obtain pricing and information.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of estimates and bid submissions.
  • Assist in project budgeting and cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support project managers and teams as needed during the construction phase.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience or internship in estimating or construction industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and terminology is a plus.
  • Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift) is a plus.
