Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician(RBT) to join our team. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing behavioral therapy and support to individuals with diverse needs. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve. This position is 40 hours a week. Most clinics are billable only paid jobs but at Partners in learning if there are any times that the RBT does not have a client they will be asked to fulfill other obligations around the clinic and preschool


Registered Behavior Therapist Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide one on one (1:1) Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy in the clinic or classroom settings.
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions.
  • Conduct Natural Environment Teaching, implement behavior support and treatment plans.
  • Work collaboratively with a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy.
  • Collaborate with childcare and NC-PreK teachers as well as related services providers for continuity of care
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
  • Be goal-oriented and maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work.
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions.
  • Participate in team meetings with supervisor and client caregivers.
  • Create client materials as needed.
  • If there are cancellations, or there is not a client available, you will be asked to step into a classroom as a flex

teacher as a sub or to help with teacher breaks.

  • You will be responsible for keeping the therapy rooms clean and kept up to standard.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology)

preferred (High School Diploma required).

  • Experience working with children
  • 1 year ABA experience(preferred)
  • If no direct ABA experience, 1-2 years working as an Early Care and Education teacher, Special Education

Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant.

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Possess or be willing to complete RBT Certification
  • Complete criminal background check
  • TB Test
  • Complete CPR and related Safety Training (Partners in Learning will provide training)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment.
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting,

standing) for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing and able to hold or transport clients and utilize quick body movements as

indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan in the course of working with children with

challenging behavior.

  • Must have the manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for

data collection.

  • Must be physically present at the assigned job location.
  • Must be able to receive and implement feedback through written and/oral communication.
  • Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication.
  • Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws
