Senior Data Scientist
Microsoft Azure, SQL Server and Databricks
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team in supporting a prestigious client. The successful candidate will play a critical role in leveraging data to drive business decisions and develop innovative solutions. This position requires a strong foundation in data science methodologies, a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, and a proven ability to deliver impactful results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced data science models and algorithms, including machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, data mining, and feature engineering to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets.
- Build and deploy data pipelines and data lakes on the Microsoft Azure platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, engineers, product managers) to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Develop and present data visualizations and reports to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and cloud computing.
- Mentor junior data scientists and foster a culture of data-driven decision making.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of data science best practices and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of overall industry experience.
- 2+ years of relevant experience as a Data Scientist.
- Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL Server.
- Extensive experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Machine Learning).
- Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- Experience with data mining techniques, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with retail organizations.
- Experience with enterprise data migration projects.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
