Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Creative Certified OT Assistant wanted to join our Rehab Services Unit at our unique specialty autism center   One-on-one and small group interventions are the majority of the job targeting all OT areas of the IEP in addition to other life skills. Full time (32+ hrs/wk) hours available with flexible start time. Schedule is flexible within a Monday through Friday work week.

Therapist must be skilled in small group treatment as well as 1:1 treatment sessions and value co-treatment opportunities as a means of optimizing transdisciplinary benefits to the children. Parent education and training may also be required in conjunction with other transdisciplinary team members.

Our students range from preschool - 12th grade and function at all levels. We adhere to the neurodevelopmental model for autism created in northeast Ohio called "The S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Approach" (TSA). We train our staff in TSA and provide constant mentorship support in the trenches. Full team collaboration with fellow OT, Speech, Music Therapy, Gen Ed, Adaptive Fitness Personnel, and specialized Aides is expected and regular teaming meetings occur often, at the start of shift.
