Piramal Pharma Solutions’ North America region is seeking a qualified Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team. The Demand planner will be responsible for preparing the global monthly demand within PPS North America region. This position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of global demand forecasts that are used for supply planning and control purposes across all the plants in PPS NA and achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process with Business Development, Project Management and finance personnel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the preparation of the baseline forecast by reviewing statistical models for Business Development, Project Management and Finance personnel input for services business on timely basis.
  • Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons and consolidating in LOS.
  • Responsible for conducting monthly consensus demand process with the Sales and PM team.
  • Achieve and prepare a consensus forecast by facilitating a collaborative planning process with Business Development, Project Management and Finance personnel. Collaboratively interact with Business Development, Project Management and Finance personnel to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Support Sales & Operational Planning meetings for each sales organization.
  • Generate rolling 12 months monthly revenue forecast (on monthly basis) and work with the site planners to ensure achievement of revenue targets.
  • Responsible for identifying potential region-wise shortfalls.
  • Review Order Book on weekly basis and closely work with site planners to keep it updated.
  • Lead monthly handover calls, providing demand requirements to the site planners basis review of customer agreements and contracts.
  • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans (post discussion with front end team) with supply planning.
  • Prepare and publish relevant reports and S&OP presentations pertaining to business units.
  • Performs monthly forecast reviews with each of the category sales leaders.
  • Runs regular reports to provide key business metrics and information to appropriate users.
  • Publish KPI performances on monthly level, with insights into areas of improvement and areas to focus on to achieve organization targets. Carrying out RCA on impacted areas.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE.

  • Minimum three years’ experience in Demand Planning, preferable from the pharma industry in global markets
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, or other related field from a tier ‘A’ institution or university. Advanced degree preferred in Supply chain/ operations.
  • Proficiency and experience in data-driven approaches like – demand aggregation and analysis, and ability to use it for practical problem-solving.
  • Experience in establishing and sustaining regular Sales and Operations Planning cycles.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions, including with Commercial Leadership to present analyses, challenge thinking, and influence outcomes.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of SAP/APO/ Kinaxis, GAINS or other software related to demand planning
