Position Overview:


Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer with a strong electromechanical background to join their team in Santa Barbara. This hybrid role will involve both on-site and remote work, providing flexibility while ensuring close collaboration with their cross-functional teams. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of advanced products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical input into complex electromechanical projects from conception through completion.
  • Design, analyze, and validate electromechanical systems and components.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure project success.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these metrics.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project updates to stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in electromechanical system design and project management, preferably within the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and electromechanical simulation tools.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed for project requirements.
