Peoria Tazewell Pathology Group (PTPG) is an independent private practice seeking a board certified or board eligible anatomic and clinical pathologist to join our collegial group of 14 pathologists and 4 pathologists’ assistants. Our practice services multiple hospitals in Central Illinois and Southeast Iowa. This position is available for Peoria, Illinois and our Quad Cities location near the Southeast Iowa/Illinois border. Subspecialty training in Dermatopathology, Gastrointestinal/Liver, or Hematopathology is preferred, but not required. Successful candidates must have (or be eligible for) licensure in both Illinois and Iowa.


This partnership track position is immediately available. Experienced pathologists and upcoming/recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Starting salary is commensurate with years of experience and/or subspecialty training. Benefits include malpractice/medical/disability/life insurance, dental and vision reimbursement plan, 401(k) retirement and pension plan, moving allowance, and a very generous vacation package, CME stipend and book fund.

 

Peoria is in close proximity to Chicago, St. Louis and Indianapolis and boasts outstanding amenities, including minor league sports teams, symphonies, art museums, bike trails, and a large convention center hosting major concerts and Broadway theater productions. The Peoria area offers an excellent school system, low cost of living, very little traffic, and an international airport for easy travel.

 

The Quad Cities region encompasses Rock Island and Moline in Illinois and Bettendorf and Davenport in Iowa. It is also within drivable distances to Chicago, St. Louis, and Des Moines and is a family friendly community with many amenities, including minor league baseball and hockey teams, museums, outdoor recreation, jazz and blues festivals, and an easily accessible regional airport. The Quad Cities have an affordable cost of living and provide ease of travel.
