Automation Engineer (Rockwell PLC)

• Location: 100% Onsite - Marlborough, Massachusetts
• Type: Contract - (NO C2C OR THIRD PARTY)
• Duration: 4+ months - End 12/31/2024 (contract extension expectation)
• Pay Rate – Negotiable depending on DIRECT-related experience
• Work Authorization - Must be able to work in the U.S. with approved authorization except Visa's that need current sponsorship transfers cannot be considered to this role.

In this role, you will be a member of integrated project team. Taking direction from project lead.

Duties include:

• Generate project documentation for requirements and testing
• Deploy and customize existing software library elements per project requirements
• Perform engineering tests & protocol shakedown
• Perform formal verification testing
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to process equipment hardware and software

Candidates must have experience with system design using:

• OSI PI Historian /PI Vision/PI Connectors.
• Experience working with UA Expert, OPC UA, OPC DA and OPC AE Simulators.
• Experience Working with Rockwell PLC.
• Experience creating complex Macros in Excell.
• SQL Data Base Queries.
• Experience Building Regular Expressions.
• Experience with Python Programming.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to develop and execute detailed Work Instructions and verification protocols.
• Experience With S88.
• Experience with the GAMP 5 V-Model documentation.
