Position Overview: The Print Buyer will be responsible for the implementation of Direct Mail (DM) and other printed components. This includes identifying new print vendors, negotiating competitive quotes for all print and lettershop functions, and tracking projects both in-house and with outside vendors to meet targeted mail dates.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Direct Mail and print projects, ensuring effective coordination between all in-house departments and external vendors.
  • Source and negotiate for competitive DM and Print components, sourcing new vendors and bidding with a minimum of three vendors.
  • Continuously follow up with internal teams and outside sources to ensure all deadlines for DM promotions and components are met.
  • Adhere to the project matrix and ensure that all project components are completed as outlined in the development calendar.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Direct Mail, including print buying, vendor procurement, and negotiation.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in lettershops, printing companies, or marketing agencies working with direct mail and print executions.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and positively with team members.
  • Attention to detail like your next breath depends on it
