POSITION OVERVIEW:

Primary responsibilities center on participating in various treasury processes and working with the Chief Accounting Officer, Controller and Treasurer to maintain accurate, timely, efficient reporting. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of working independently with good analytical skills. Must be knowledgeable in cash management, banking, general ledger reporting, and capable of interacting with individuals throughout the organization.


The Senior Treasury Analyst will report to the Chief Accounting Officer.


Job Location: In office located in Houston, TX


RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Manage company funds
  • Manage the allocation of cash balances
  • Manage loan balances and disbursements
  • Forecast cash balances
  • Maintain bank accounts
  • Preparation of the quarterly debt compliance package
  • Prepare cash journal entries to record transactions in the Company’s general ledger
  • Prepare various cash account reconciliations
  • Prepare various reports from the banking systems or accounting ERP system as needed
  • Prepare information for management, including the Company executive team.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4-7 years of related experience at a public company required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers at all levels within the Company, including executive management
  • Working knowledge of the various departmental activities in an oil and gas company and their interface/integration with the Treasury department preferred
  • Strong data management skills: ability to audit, format, and analyze large data sets
  • Meets or beats deadlines; ability to prioritize tasks to meet business needs
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive and effective relationships across teams and various levels in the organization, including management, colleagues, and auditors
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook applications, BOLO and Databricks


WORK CONDITIONS:

Job is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to time pressures and constraints, and is often dependent on input from others. Occasionally, work may be performed from home, after normal work hours or on weekends. Periodic travel as business requires.
