DataStaff, Inc is seeking a Data Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients located in North Chesterfield, VA.


*This position is hybrid; onsite work will be required.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand data needs and objectives.
  • Gather data from primary and secondary sources, ensuring the upkeep of databases and data systems.
  • Detect, examine, and decode trends or patterns within intricate datasets.
  • Extract, clean, and transform data from diverse sources for analysis.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Examine data quality, applications, and functions to ensure accurate migration.
  • Cleanse data and scrutinize computer-generated reports and outputs to identify and rectify coding errors.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Generate visualizations and reports for stakeholders and collaborate with the management team to determine and rank the needs of different business units.
  • Partner with engineering and product development teams to understand business requirements.
  • Employ statistical techniques to scrutinize data and produce actionable business insights.
  • Engage with SMEs of various departments to specify data requirements for analysis projects tailored to their unique business processes.


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science).
  • 5 Years - Proven experience as a Data Analyst or related role.
  • 5 Years - Technical expertise regarding data models, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • 5 Years - Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages and databases (SQL, etc.).
  • 5 Years - Proficient in programming languages (Python, R, etc.) is a plus.
  • 5 Years - Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail.
  • 5 Years - Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings
  • 5 Years - Capable of critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights.
  • 5 Years - Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Microsoft Excel.


This opportunity is available on a corp-to-corp basis or as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
