Position Overview:

Taylor English Duma LLP is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Patent Agent to join our Intellectual Property practice group in Atlanta, Georgia. The Patent Agent will play a pivotal role in providing legal support and guidance to our clients in the field of patent law, with a focus on patent prosecution.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patentability searches and analyses to assess the viability of patent applications
• Draft and prosecute patent applications in collaboration with inventors and attorneys
• Provide strategic advice and counseling to clients on patent-related matters
• Assist with patent portfolio management and maintenance
• Conduct prior art searches and prepare patent landscape analyses
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop and implement patent strategies
• Stay updated on changes in patent laws and regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred
• Registered Patent Agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in patent prosecution
• Strong technical background in mechanical technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superior analytical abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in patent database search tools and software
