We are looking for a Senior Copywriter to join a healthcare/pharma advertising agency in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with Art Directors and other creative professionals to develop and execute innovative campaigns that enhance the brands of various pharmaceutical and healthcare clients


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop content outlines, creative concepts, video scripts, print and digital sales aids, digital ad campaigns, CRM and rep-triggered emails, rich media units, programmatic banner ads (static and animated), social media ads (static and video), patient brochures, counseling tools, websites, research summaries, and presentation decks.
  • Tailor your writing style and tone to fit each brand and target audience, including healthcare professionals, consumers, and sales representatives.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure creative briefs are clear, targeted, and actionable.
  • Independently research client products, services, and industry trends to inform content and strategy.
  • Effectively present work to clients on behalf of the agency.
  • Provide correctly formatted references for all medical claims in professional-facing content and ensure consistency with legal and regulatory guidance.
  • Interpret clinical studies and references, crafting medical claims that are both accurate and relevant to the target audience.
  • Annotate copy documents for submission to legal review boards.
  • Review documents for accuracy, style consistency, punctuation, and references, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
  • Follow AMA style guidelines rigorously.
  • Manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and allocate resources efficiently to meet project scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Mentor junior writers, evaluate freelance writing resources, and review their work.


Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in a creative copywriting role within an agency setting.
  • Proven experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or healthcare industries with relevant work samples.
  • Experience writing with medical/legal considerations and preparing submissions for legal review.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop compelling concepts and copy for healthcare professionals, with additional patient or consumer experience being a plus.
  • An exceptional portfolio showcasing original concepts and fully executed projects.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
