Are You Up to the Challenge? Join our team as a Technical Project Manager and put learning management system skills to work. In this role, you will:

  • Own the end-to-end build of LMS product, its releases and stability, including Stakeholders Management, Program Management, Change Management and Users Adoption
  • Rapidly establish understanding of both current state and future needs of the Trailhead Academy business
  • Have solid understanding of business use cases and requirements for the new LMS solution
  • Act as technology consultant and trusted advisor for business on all aspects relating to the new LMS solution
  • Act as technical project manager for the end to end implementation; Provide leadership and oversight of all work streams that made up of internal partner groups, vendors and consultants
  • Partner and consult with Trailhead Academy, Business Technology and vendor Professional Services teams working on and supporting the system
  • Manage relationships with contracting vendor and supervise vendor resources
  • Cultivate effective, trusted working relationships with matrix teams located globally across time-zones
  • Drive completion of milestones and deliverables; Hold teams and individuals accountable for their work
  • Consult with and obtain sign off from business stakeholders on key decisions and sign offs
  • Create and maintain key project management documentations (project charter, stakeholder lists, project plan, roles & responsibilities, issues/risks, decisions, communications plan, etc.)
  • Deliver hands on work as an individual contributor; Deliverables may be in the form of short presentations, project status slides, or highly-organized documents that anticipate customer needs and answer them in business process flows fashion
  • Track and report out implementation project status
  • Develop and execute User-Acceptance-Testing plan
  • Develop post implementation support strategy & transition plan to support team


Qualifications Our team values individuals who apply their creativity and strategic ability to do their best work every day. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 15+ years’ experience in technical program management or product management
  • PMI Certified
  • BS/BA Degree in Information Technology or equivalent industry experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile Development or Scrum Project Management methodologies
  • Corporate Learning / Education domain expertise is preferred
  • Multiple years of global LMS implementation experience
  • Proven track record of building or leading the implementation of third party’s system deployment lifecycle, from RFP process through Go-Live
  • Demonstrated leadership with matrix team; Ability to influence extended team and command respect
  • Experience with managing geographically dispersed teams across different time zones
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Self-starter with ‘get it done’ attitude and a strong sense of team spirit; Able work quickly and accurately under pressure and time constraints; Desire to roll-up your sleeves to see a project to successful completion
  • Ability to deliver results with large-scale, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build trusting relationships, credibility, and strong communications skills to influence stakeholders, connect partners to improve project decision-making, which drives business value
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills, confident communicator with ability to present complex issues and solutions in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work under pressure, highly adaptable and well organized; Ability to shift directions quickly when priorities change
  • Ability to think through problems to come up with innovative solutions and deliver against tight deadlines
  • Customer-focused; Know how to balance your "get it done" attitude with diplomacy to be able to work effectively across different teams and at all levels
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Results orientation with a focus on delivering value for the customer.
  • Strategic thinker that can see the big picture, innovate and adapt to constant change

  • San Francisco, CA or Seattle area WA
  • Willingness to work pacific time zone hours and remote to office on a hybrid model
