The Kroger Company is currently looking to hire an Sr. Fullstack Engineer on a full time, permanent basis. This opportunity offers a flexible hybrid remote/onsite work schedule and will be based in Cincinnati, OH.

Title: Sr. Fullstack Engineer

Location: Cincinnati, OH, Charlotte, NC, Boca Raton, Fl, or Chicago, IL.

Summary:

The Sr. Fullstack Engineer will support the build of a financial forecasting application. The tech stack is Java Spring boot on the backend, Angular on the frontend. Knowledge of Azure is helpful.

Responsibilities:

  • for participating in the design, development, testing, debugging, maintaining, and documenting software components in accordance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.
  • estimates and work plans for design, development, implementation, and rollout tasks.
  • with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are delivered with the highest of quality and in accordance with standards. Demonstrate the company s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
  • a high-quality codebase, lead design discussions, execute development against design, and navigate complex codebase
  • for development implementation of technical design within a defined set of teams. Execute against defined technology roadmap to support project portfolio and business strategy
  • in implementing enterprise standards across domains: operations, infrastructure, data, applications, development, security & risk, and business continuance
  • technical clarity between ongoing projects and the strategic objectives of the company
  • digital innovation by leveraging innovative new technologies and approaches to renovate, extend, and transform the existing core technology base and IT estate
  • high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state solution
  • the analysis of the technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement
  • team members in software development principles, patterns, processes and, practices
  • be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications:

  • Degree Computer Science or a STEM major
  • years of successful and applicable experience taking a lead role in building complex software ad automation systems that has been successfully delivered to customers
  • years of proven track record of designing and delivering large scale, high-quality systems
  • years of successful and applicable hands-on experience in software or infrastructure development domain and principles, including design patterns and code structure
  • knowledge of industry trends and industry competition
  • knowledge in a minimum of two of the following technical disciplines: infrastructure and network design, application development, application programming interfaces (APIs), cloud, middleware, servers and storage, database management, and operations
  • of network and security architecture
  • written, oral and presentation/public speaking communication skills
  • ability to think and contribute at the strategic level

Desired:

  • experience in Cloud software service including designing for scale, performance and reliability
  • experience in system architecture
  • capability to build, mentor and maintain an inclusive team-based environment
  • building solution using elastic architectures (preferably Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform)
