Highway Design Engineer Requirements:

  • Civil engineering or related background
  • EIT preferred, with training to obtain PE
  • 0-4 years of experience
  • Specific Qualifications:
  • Education: BSCE from an ABET-accredited program
  • Experience: 1-4 years in highway transportation design (internships or relevant coursework considered)
  • Communication: Exceptional written and oral skills


Mid Level Design Engineer Requirements:

  • • Education: BSCE from an ABET accredited engineering program.
  • • Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office, MicroStation, and Inroads or Geopak.
  • • Industry Experience: 4 to 10 years of design experience in the highway transportation field.
  • • Project Delivery: Experience with project delivery for State Agency Transportation Departments.


Senior Level Design Engineer Requirements:

  • Education: BSCE from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in highway and transportation design.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate with teams.
  • Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Federal, State, and local permitting regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MicroStation and MS Office suite.
  • Other: Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Registered Professional Engineer
