New England Pediatric Care is seeking a dynamic and charismatic Director of Rehabilitation Services (PT or OT) to join our team Located in Billerica, MA, New England Pediatric Care is an 80-bed, pediatric skilled nursing facility that offers a special education day school and young adult day programming. NEPC is one of only two, pediatric nursing homes in the state that serve medically complex children and young adults. The Director of Rehab will lead an established rehabilitation team that truly believes in delivering the best quality of care in the industry We do not utilize productivity as a performance metric and we do not currently require weekends for rehab staff.


The ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience and nursing home experience. Experience with IEPs and school programming is a plus This individual should have a proven history of team leadership and supporting clinical excellence.


Position Summary:

The Director of Rehabilitation will plan, develop, organize, and implement the overall daily operations of the Rehabilitation department. A portion of this position includes developing and carrying out treatment plans for our residents. The Director of Rehabilitation will ensure the highest degree of quality patient care in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. This is a unique position unlike any other due to the population of residents we serve and the ability to provide total care, education, and rehabilitation to such a unique population of residents.



Job Duties include but are not limited to:

- Promotes teamwork, mutual respect, and employee morale via open lines of communication, fair and equitable treatment, and ongoing retention efforts

- Instills, maintains, and enhances the vision, mission, and values of New England Pediatric Care

- Maintains and implements Rehab policies and procedures that conform to current standards of practice, facility philosophy, and operational policies while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

- Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation.

- Oversee clinical budget throughout the course of the fiscal year and ensure that operating costs remain within parameters

- Selects, trains, directs, and evaluates the performance of direct report personnel. Assists team with difficult employee relations problems, as necessary.

- Responsible for ensuring that staff is aware of NEPC strategic goals and objectives and how these directly affect the goals and objectives for their respective areas.

- Promotes an environment in which the healthcare team can work cooperatively toward achieving departmental and facility goals and objectives.


Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

  • Must be currently licensed/registered in MA or eligible for reciprocity as a PT, OT or SLP. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
  • Two (2) years' skilled nursing facility experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and demonstrate high level of organization
