Job Description:


Precision Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Compounding Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. As a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in the preparation of sterile medications for patients in accordance with industry regulations and quality standards.


Responsibilities:


- Prepare sterile medications including multidose vials following established protocols and procedures.

- Maintain a clean and organized compounding area to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and prevent contamination.

- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of compounding equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in medication preparation.

- Conduct quality assurance checks on finished products to verify accuracy, potency, and sterility.

- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of sterile medications to patients.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to minimize the risk of exposure to hazardous materials and prevent the spread of infections.

- Document all compounding activities and maintain accurate records of medications prepared, ingredients used, and quality control measures.



Qualifications:


- Graduate of a College of Pharmacy

-Licensed Pharmacist in the state of New York (unrestricted license with no disciplinary action)

- Prior experience in sterile compounding within a pharmacy or healthcare setting is strongly preferred.

- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and sterile compounding principles.

- Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations and measurement techniques.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation.

- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

- Understanding of regulatory requirements governing sterile compounding, including USP and USP guidelines.

- Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
