Tabor Mortgage Group is looking for seasoned Loan Officers to evaluate, authorize approval, or deny loan applications for residential mortgage applicants. You will act as the liaison between customers and our financial institution and you will help qualified applicants acquire loans in a timely manner.  As we grow, we continuously pursue excellence in all parts of our business. Job Requirements:


  • Originate new business through company-provided leads, including taking complete applications to qualify customers.
  • Interview applicants and evaluate creditworthiness to determine financial eligibility by processing loan applications and documentation with specified limits
  • Qualify borrowers; pull credit; price loans; lock loans; collect documentation; follow through with borrowers and realtors to ensure expectations are being met
  • Work directly with the processor on pipeline management, alignment, and collecting documentation as requested
  • Maintain and update account records - manage files in Encompass to be sure records are always accurate
  • Lead person on transactions, including communication with team members, realtors, and borrowers
  • Communicate with clients to request or provide information
  • Ability to deal honestly and ethically with clients, employees, and business partners to achieve desired goals
  • Operate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelines
  • Develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels, and cross-sell products and services 
  • Go the “extra mile” to build trust relationships, customer loyalty, and satisfaction throughout the underwriting process
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and staff events


Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer.  Closing a minimum of 2 self-generated loans a month.
  • Active NMLS LO license.
  • Effective sales and marketing skills, including the ability to generate new business through networking, referral partners, and other referral sources
  • Familiarity with computers and banking applications/software
  • Solid understanding of lending products and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer satisfaction orientation and sales competencies
  • Ability to work in a goal-oriented environment
