Litigation Paralegal

About the Company - Fidelity National Law Group, the in-house litigation office for Fidelity National Financial (Fortune 500) companies, specializes in real estate and insurance defense litigation.

About the Role - Fidelity National Law Group is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal for immediate hire to join its Dallas office.

Responsibilities

• Trial management and trial presentation
• Experience with e-discovery tool Relativity or similar programs is required
• Draft motions, pleadings and correspondence
• Assist with filings
• Assist with document productions
• Assist attorneys with deposition preparations
• Draft discovery and assist with discovery responses
• Compiling and reviewing documents in response to subpoenas
• Draft engagement letters
• Conduct legal research
• Utilize eDiscovery platform such as Relativity
• Prepare trial related documents
• Technology savvy and detailed oriented
• Able to work independently and multitask
• Coordinate with outside vendors
• Comfortable communicating with clients and outside counsel
• Perform duties as needed, including creating binders and other printed materials
• Effectively understand and utilize technology, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office 365, PDF software, online legal tools, Relativity, Trial Director, and other law office management programs

Qualifications - Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency is required. Completion of an associate degree, or certification as a paralegal from a program approved by the American Bar Association is a plus.

Required Skills - Candidates must be a team player, have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience, and have prior jury trial preparation and jury trial experience. Solid understanding of civil litigation is necessary.

Preferred Skills - Real Estate (title/escrow) and insurance defense experience preferred. Experience utilizing trial presentation software is required, including Trial Director. Travel will be necessary and required.

Pay range and compensation package - Competitive salary and benefits package offered, including health benefits, matching 401k, and employee stock purchase program. Hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm/flexible, M - F. Hybrid. Business casual environment with a collaborative team dynamic. Position available due to office expansion/growth.
