If so, this may be the job for you. Cowen Rodriguez Peacock, P.C. is hiring an Associate Attorney. The Associate Attorney will support an experienced Partner at the firm and support multiple aspects of the partner’s docket to ensure the cases move forward efficiently to provide the highest and best outcome for our clients. The Associate Attorney’s job duties include:
· Reviewing and responding to written discovery, conferring on discovery disputes, and attending discovery hearings;
· Researching and writing memoranda and/or motions and presenting the argument to the Partner or to a court;
· Analyzing key documents and medical records and preparing detailed summaries or motions;
· Communicating with the Partners, clients, and witnesses in an efficient and meaningful way.
We are looking for an attorney licensed in the State of Texas. The ideal candidate has 2– 5 years’ experience as an attorney. The position requires considerable travel, as the dockets include cases throughout the State of Texas.
The ideal candidate would also be:
1. Comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks;
2. Able to communicate with the Partners and clients efficiently and often;
3. Receptive to continuous training and coaching;
4. Able to work on a team and be a team-player;
5. Well-organized;
6. Willing to take initiative to complete projects; and,
7. Dedicated to producing excellent results.
The salary starts at $80,000.00 per year, plus bonuses tied to key performance indicators. The firm also offers fully paid health insurance, PTO, firm paid holidays, 401k with employer contribution of 3% of annual salary (after 1 yr), employee firm retreats and promotion from within.
Cowen Rodriguez Peacock, P.C. is a mid-size law firm specializing in representing those injured in motor vehicle accidents; specifically those cases involving company vehicles or trucking incidents.
