SAP MM Purchasing ConsultantLocation: Foster City, CA (Onsite 4 days/week; occasional travel to Hayward, CA) Term: 6–12 Month Contract Rate: $75-82/hr Industry: Autonomous Mobility / ManufacturingAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced SAP MM Purchasing Consultant with deep expertise in Scheduling Agreements, JIT delivery, and high-volume manufacturing environments. You will play a key role in optimizing the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, ensuring efficient material flow, strong supplier collaboration, and seamless system performance across SAP S/4HANA and Ariba.The ideal candidate is a techno-functional consultant who understands not just the “how” but the business logic behind procurement workflows, and can design, configure, and support scalable MM solutions as the organization transitions into high-volume production.ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and support Scheduling Agreements and Purchase Orders for JIT and forecast-based deliveries.Manage supplier planning and forecast collaboration processes.Lead and support RICEFW enhancements across procurement workflows.Maintain and optimize purchasing and material management master data.Improve processes across Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration (SCC) and S/4HANA MM.Analyze and streamline procurement processes aligned with manufacturing operations.Perform testing, troubleshooting, and end-user support for MM Purchasing functions.Develop and update training materials and process documentation.Travel to local sites as needed (approx. once per week).Daily ActivitiesScheduling Agreement & Purchase Order configurationPlanning/forecast collaborationRICEFW development oversightMaster data governanceAriba/SAP SCC process supportBusiness process analysis & optimizationFunctional testing & production supportUser training & documentationRequired Qualifications4+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP MM ConsultantStrong expertise in: 1) Purchase Requisitions, POs, Contracts, 2) Scheduling Agreements and Release Generation (Forecast & JIT), 3) Creation Profile configurationSolid understanding of MM-IM processes: Goods Receipt (MIGO), stock transfers, physical inventoryKnowledge of Logistics Execution (LE) processes and inbound delivery flowsUnderstanding of integration points with FI and PP, including MRP and MD04Experience working with EDI/IDoc procurement message typesHands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori procurement appsFamiliarity with CIG and Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration (plus)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills; able to work across business and technical teamsProven ability to independently manage deliverables in a fast-paced environmentPreferred BackgroundExperience in high-volume manufacturing environmentsAbility to operate in a growing organization transitioning from R&D to mass productionComfort working with procurement volumes scaling toward 1,000+ POs/day
