JOB SUMMARY

Are you looking for an entry-level position in the manufacturing field? Are you looking for a 4-day workweek? We are hiring for an entry-level Paint Prep on our 2nd shift. In this role, you will scrape, repair, and clean cabinets, preparing them to be painted. All training is provided by Avail and no previous experience is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scrape cabinet surface, ensuring all previous paint and debris is removed.
  • Blow out, wash/clean, plug, and tape cabinets, preparing for paint.
  • Assist in loading product, if required.
  • Perform ongoing housekeeping duties to keep work area clean and orderly, including the wash bay and paint booth.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Equipment Used: Hand tools such as screwdrivers, strippers, crimpers, tape measure, etc.
  • Certification required: Ability to be certified to wear an air fed respirator. Able to be certified to drive a forklift, if needed.
  • Skills: Excellent hand/eye coordination.
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalency (GED) preferred, but not required.
  • Language Skills: Able to read and comprehend somewhat complex instructions. Able to write notes or simple correspondence. Able to effectively communicate information to coworkers.
  • Attendance Requirement: Requires regular attendance during scheduled shift and overtime when required.

Work Environment: This is a wet environment, due to the cleaning aspect of the position.
