We seek a motivated and detail-oriented Temporary Associate Scientist position in Manufacturing to support critical operational activities during the transition period until a full-time role is filled. This temporary role will focus on assisting with facility move activities from Redwood City to Morgan Hill, performing physical inventory counts, document support, and supporting the setup of the new facility. This position is critical to maintaining seamless production and operational continuity.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Site Move Activities:


  • Assist in the logistics and organization of the site move, ensuring that all equipment, materials, and inventory are safely and efficiently relocated.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments (e.g., production, maintenance, logistics) to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations during the move.
  • Support the labeling, tracking, and placement of items at the new site to ensure easy access and proper setup.



Physical Inventory Count:


  • Conduct thorough and accurate physical counts of inventory at the current site, ensuring all items are accounted for.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between actual stock and inventory records.
  • Assist in organizing inventory storage at the new site to optimize space and improve accessibility.



Document Support:


  • Support scanning and filing documents for Quality compliance.



Support New Site Setup:


  • Assist in revamping the layout and configuration of the new site to ensure optimal workflow and safety.
  • Support setting up production equipment, laboratory equipment, and other infrastructure necessary for ongoing operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of processes at the new site



General Support:


  • Provide hands-on assistance to the production team to maintain operational efficiency during the transition period.
  • Report progress and any issues related to the site move, inventory, and document updates to the supervisor in a timely manner.



Training, Experience, and Skill Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or equivalent experience (3+ years) is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a biotech or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and document control.


Compensation:


Annual Salary Range: $30 -$33/hour DOE
