Job Description:

• Technical Project Management for the BOF program, specifically for the Tech Delivery Scope.


Bachelor Degree: (Required, Preferred or Not Required)

• Bachelor’s Degree – Required.


Role Responsibilities: (what they will be doing)

• Responsible for managing the scope, timeline, staffing and deliverables for multiple IT Risk workstreams related to governance adherence and gap remediation. Put together and maintain schedules and status reporting for multiple projects; Provide support to technical delivery teams to ensure that projects stay on track and adhere to our risk controls. Provide Stakeholders with delivery milestones, status, issues and financials (Scope, Schedule and Cost.)

• Creates, manages, and understands impacts to project scope, constraints and schedule. Manages projects according to work plan. Performs critical path analysis.

• Develops and routinely reassesses project budgets to account for variances and ensures accuracy. Creates budget reports to compare actual with forecasted costs.

• Creates performance and status reports for relevant stakeholders.

• Develops and manages project risk and issue management plans. Analyzes risks by probability and severity to assess their impact on project delivery. Implements procedures to mitigate risk threats.

• Utilizes available tools for identifying and tracking issues such as the Delivery Risk Assessment, risk workshops, and clarity.

• Develops project organization chart and governance structures. Defines roles and responsibilities of team members.

• Defines processes and standards around governance, communication, and quality. Develops deliverable acceptance plans and criteria.

• Identifies and develops strategy for changes in scope, schedule, and cost. Develops strategic rationale for change including costs, benefits, tradeoffs, etc.

• Creates transition plan, identifies lessons learned, and applies the lessons learned to future projects.

• Identifies and manages project and program interdependencies.

• Establish program objectives; develop requirements, plan schedules and estimate cost.

• Balance stakeholder needs and effectively negotiate tradeoffs between scope, schedule, and budget.

• Balance needs of multiple stakeholders and gains buy-in from groups who may be resistant to change.


Must Have Skills/Prior Experiences: (Vendor should not submit any candidate that does not have these skills/prior experience.)

• Bachelor’s degree in a business or related field is required.

• 3+ years of Financial Services Industry in a project management function.

• 5+ years of experience as a project manager, utilizing project management methodologies and disciplines, best practices, and artifacts in both Waterfall and SCRUM environments

• Recent experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, SharePoint, and Visio.

• Ability to travel according to client demands.

• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong Project Management Skills and Experience.

• IT Risk Management Experience (adherence to Standards and Controls).

• Information Technology (IT) Experience.

• Financial Tracking & Reporting.

• Understanding/ experience of banking/ financial services (specifically lending).

• Vendor and contract management.

• Strong organizational and communication skills/ Attention to detail.

• Strong follow up to ensure all tasks are fully completed.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills (MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel).

• Ability to work independently with minimum input after initial guidance.

• Able to work under pressure and shift with changing priorities (Flexible).


Plus/Nice to Have Skills/Prior Experiences:(Hiring Manager DOES NOT require these skills/ prior experience. However candidates with any of these will be looked at first.)

• Consulting experience highly preferred.

• Industry specific consulting experience (Financial Services).

• PMP/CAPM Certification.

• Process Master/ Six Sigma/ Other Process Certifications.
