With rapid expansion into the Pennsylvania market, my client is looking to hire a Project Engineer for their strong Heavy Civil backlog and to grow alongside the business.


My Client:

A top local GC, specializing in Civil Markets such as Heavy Highway, Earthwork, Infrastructure, and Site Development.

As a Project Engineer specializing in Heavy Civil projects, your role will be carefully supervising project sub-consultants, working closely with Project Managers and Senior Leadership, preparing plans, and adherence to schedule. Whilst also participating in meetings with Clients and Senior Leaders.


Responsibilities:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Heavy Civil construction sector.
  • Prepare design plans and construction specifications, while also coordinating with contractors and clients' engineering teams.
  • Schedule, conduct, or oversee detailed engineering phases for either a significant portion of a major project or an entire project of moderate scale.
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Supervise project sub-consultants and internal support departments.
  • Generate extra work order requests and proposals for open-ended contract tasks.
  • Create proposals as needed and participate in meetings with clients.
  • Attend and actively engage in weekly and/or monthly meetings with customers and clients, offering progress updates.
  • Strong communication abilities and team management.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
