Senior Counsel Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including but not limited to connection agreements, buy and sell agreements, crude oil agreements, and gathering space agreements.
  • Provide legal advice and support on transactions related to the company's oil and gas operations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations while minimizing legal risks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the business development, operations, and finance teams, to support the company's strategic objectives.
  • Assist in resolving disputes and managing any litigation or arbitration related to commercial agreements.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and legal developments to provide proactive legal advice.


Senior Counsel Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 3-10 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a focus on commercial agreements in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong understanding of legal principles related to connection agreements, buy and sell agreements, crude oil agreements, and gathering space agreements.
  • Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
