Integration Engineer

The main function of an integration engineer is to partner with internal design teams in the development of high volume consumer products. The typical integration engineer will function as an expert in Design for Excellence methods.


Job Responsibilities:

• Advise mechanical and electrical design engineers in implementing Design for Excellence into their designs • Advise internal design teams for manufacturability, assembly, test and verification, safety, reliability, compliance, etc. • Manage external vendors in the design, creation and qualification of assembly and test equipment. • Guide and support engineers who develop custom-built tools on top of APIs • Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings and designs to support the entire integration development life-cycle. • Research integration failures, perform root cause analyses, and report back to management and business leaders. • Develop plans to mitigate and avoid future system issues. • Safeguard system access and security and support system audits


Skills:

• Knowledge of mass production of consumer products.. • Knowledge of Design for Excellence methodologies for mechanical and electrical systems. • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing • Knowledge with 2D and 3D tolerance analysis.
