Role Description

This is a full-time on-site/in-community role for an In-Home Mental Health Psychotherapist. The Psychotherapist will be responsible for providing therapy sessions to families in their homes, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions like MultiDimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) modality. Requires working relationship with Dane County Human Services including child protection and youth justice social workers. The Psychotherapist will also collaborate with other members of the treatment team and provide support and guidance to clients and their families.


Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Expertise in Relationship Counseling
  • Knowledge of Medicine and its impact on mental health
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy and the ability to establish rapport with diverse populations
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing client needs
  • Licensure as a Mental Health Psychotherapist in the state of Wisconsin


Additional requirements:

Applicants must demonstrate an ability to work with BIPOC individuals or families and communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, a vehicle in good working condition, and automobile liability insurance that meets minimum agency requirements. Satisfactory completion of a criminal history background check, including no history of DUI violations.
