Looking for:

The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), is responsible for developing and managing both annual and long-term budgets for multiple business units and corporate departments. This role will oversee quarterly reporting on budget vs actual performance, as well as budget reforecasts, collaborating closely with senior leadership to analyze business changes and fluctuations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented problem solver who is passionate about process improvement.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process for multiple corporate investment entities.
  • Prepare and maintain 5-year budgets for various business lines.
  • Conduct quarterly variance analysis reporting and manage budget reforecasts for business lines and corporate departments.
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting across corporate entities, properties, and funds to support tax planning efforts.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis for senior management.
  • Serve as the point of contact for general ledger coding standards, maintaining the chart of accounts and ensuring categorization consistency.
  • Identify and propose opportunities for operational improvements, including cost savings, process streamlining, and automation.
  • Lead the implementation of FP&A reporting software.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role may involve overseeing external accounting staff, including responsibilities for staff training, workload planning, and work assignment.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • Familiarity with software like Adaptive, Anaplan, or similar FP&A tools is preferred.
