Position Summary
Martin Electric is currently seeking a self-motivated Project Engineer/AutoCAD Drafter who can provide reliable, timely, and professional support to our talented team. As an AutoCAD Drafter, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate project drawings and files to ensure success during field installation. The successful candidate will require the independent judgement to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment.
Functions
· Provide AutoCAD Drafting support to our preconstruction department for all design/build projects
· Collaborate with the Foreman/Project Managers to update as-built/record drawings utilizing CAD software
· Create data points for field layout using the Trimble Field Link software for our Robotic Total Stations layout tool
· Maintain project files & Client FTP sites (e.x. Procore)
· Support the Operations department with administrative tasks
Education, Experience, Skills & Abilities:
· Associate’s degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, or Related Field
· Minimum of 5+ years’ experience with experience in the electrical/construction industry
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Detailed-oriented
· Multitask
· Time-management
· Experienced in Revit & AutoCAD REQUIRED
· Experience in Autodesk preferred
· Understanding of 3D Modeling (BIM)
· Experience using electrical engineering software preferred
· Technical Drawing, Shop Drawings, and Architectural Drawings skills
