Senior Data Engineer

The Select Group is seeking a Data Engineer for our telecommunications client. In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for providing insights related to products and business operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a lead capacity or proven experience leading a project. This role is onsite in Stamford, CT.


Unfortunately, we are unable to work with third-party vendors on a c2c basis. Visa Sponsorship or training programs is not available for this position


Sr. Data Engineer Requirements:

  • Senior Data Engineer with a minimum of 3+ years of expertise in Redshift.
  • Extensive experience in data warehousing.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL development, including complex query writing, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.
  • Proficient in working with relational and multidimensional databases for efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Expertise in unit testing and writing/documenting test cases.
  • Prior experience in the telecom industry is required; experience working with telecom data, is a plus.
  • Analytical and critical thinker, well-organized, and a team player.


Sr. Data Engineer Requirements Responsibilities:

  • Develop and fine-tune IT solutions, including coding, testing, debugging, designing, and implementing newly developed tools.
  • Build and manage online analytical processing (OLAP) systems, working with both relational and multidimensional databases.
  • Manage and oversee the work of other IT team members within the department or company.
  • Focus on solving problems by continuously mining data and presenting it understandably.
  • Create tables, write reports on findings, and simplify technical language for other team members.
