STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:

The OB/GYN Physician is responsible for delivering clinical services, including direct patient care, in accordance with federal and state statutes and regulations, Medical Staff Bylaws/Rules and Regulations. This role reports to the appropriate Medical Staff Committee(s) and the MEC for clinical requirements and to the Vice President-Finance for administrative responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hold an M.D./D.O. license to practice medicine in the State of South Dakota, with current State and Federal Narcotics licensure
• Possess ACLS certification and attain board certification in a specialty within two years of completing residency
• Demonstrate exceptional social sensitivity and interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, groups of patients, and healthcare personnel. Exhibit strong leadership abilities and excellent oral and written communication skills.
