Kelly Services, in partnership with a global leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a motivated and skilled OD/ID Grinder to join our team. As an OD/ID Grinder, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting OD/ID grinding machines to grind the inner and outer diameters of parts to specified dimensions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform machine setup, operation, and adjustment of OD/ID grinding machines.
• Follow setup sheets or customer prints/specifications to ensure work is performed accurately.
• Verify machine setup by inspecting and measuring parts to ensure they meet specifications.
• Select, dress, and mount grinding wheels according to specifications.
• Inspect and measure workpieces to ensure surfaces and dimensions meet specifications.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary.
• Assist and train others as needed.
• Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Operate power tools and machinery while following safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-5 years of grinding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Attention to detail.
• Visual acuity for detailed work.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to stand throughout the entire shift.
• Work environment may involve exposure to fumes, airborne particles, dirt, dust, and solvents.
• Extended hours, including weekends, may be required based on production requirements.
