A Warehouse Management System (WMS) Functional Support job involves providing support and expertise in the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of warehouse management systems within an organization. Here's a general description for such a role:


Responsibilities:

Implementation Support:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements for warehouse management.

Assist in the implementation of WMS solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and processes.

Conduct user training sessions to familiarize warehouse staff with system functionalities.


System Maintenance:

Monitor and maintain the performance of the WMS to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the WMS, collaborating with IT and vendors as needed.

Regularly update system configurations and parameters to meet changing business needs.


User Support:

Provide ongoing support to end-users, addressing inquiries and issues related to the WMS.

Create and maintain documentation, including user manuals and troubleshooting guides.

Conduct periodic training sessions for new employees and refresher courses for existing staff.


Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the warehouse.

Collaborate with stakeholders to implement enhancements and updates to the WMS.

Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in warehouse management technology.


Collaboration:

Work closely with IT teams, warehouse managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of the WMS with other systems.

Collaborate with vendors and external partners to resolve issues and implement upgrades.
