Qualifications:

1.  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or in related majors, specifically:

a.   Electrical Engineering and/or Automation

b.   Consideration will be given to candidates with other engineering degrees along with relevant work experience

2.  Minimum 2 years related working experience, preferably within the automobile industry. Solid willingness of occupational plan in automobile industry is preferred.

3.  Demonstrated knowledge of Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Ormon controls architecture: (profound knowledge in single brand of PLC is acceptable)

a.  PLC and HMI programming 

b.  Equipment and/or system commissioning

c.  Good understanding of control components

d.  Good understanding of E-plan drawing (with design experience is preferred)

4.  Self-motivated project management, with critical attention to details, deadlines, trouble shooting, and reporting

a.  Experience of engineering planning and project steering is preferred

b.  Experience with Improvement processes/techniques such as Six Sigma, Lean, Transactional Lean, Root Cause Analysis or equivalent methods is preferred

c.  Ability to work with customers directly to resolve open issues proactively

5.  High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite & Internet applications. Experience of using software of industry Automation is preferred.

6.  Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).

7.  Willingness to travel throughout North America and internationally as required, with assignments typically at client project sites, averaging around 4 months per project.

Duties:

SCIVIC Engineering America is a provider of turnkey, custom engineered solutions to a variety of customers within the automotive and non-automotive industries both in North America and globally. As such, the duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will be:

1.    Support/lead the local sales organization and design team (headquartered in China) with accurate technical information from the customers during the bid proposal phase

a.    Interpret the RFQs

b.    Preliminary onsite investigation if necessary

c.     Engage with the customer to ensure the most optimal solution is developed

d.    Develop project timelines / schedules, as related to controls activities

e.    Interpret the technical standards (controls related) from customers, make plans to concur with the requirements

f.     Engage with local 3rd party controls resources, overall planning for human power, resources

g.    Overall hardware and software planning during bidding phase

2.    Join/lead/support technical design, concept building

a.    Interpret/clarify inputs/interfaces from interdisciplinary stakeholders

b.    Join/lead Hardware plan

c.     Join/lead Software plan

d.    Support onsite measurement or clarification of concepts with customers

e.    Support virtual commissioning if necessary

f.     Support simulation if necessary

3.    Lead/join local controls efforts with the customer at the customer’s site, include but not limited to:

a.    Lead/support sub-supplier management and human power assignment

b.    Lead/support interfaces clarification and onsite alignment

c.     Lead/join installation/commissioning implementation

d.    Lead/join Daily / Weekly reports to Customers or higher management

e.    Lead/join Identification and solutions of any controls related issues to ensure overall project success

f.     Project due dates management to ensure timely execution, including:

                                              I.        punch list tracking, change orders, etc.

                                             II.        real time troubleshooting activities

                                           III.        risk diminishing/escalation while encountering difficulties

g.    Lead/join/support trial of production

h.    Lead/join/support standby of production

4.    Lead/join/support to monitor, evaluate and analyze any test data/protocol/documentation to ensure quality of control, safety of systems

a.    Lead/support test report generation

b.    Lead/support trial and acceptance of systems

c.     Lead/support technical documentation management

5.    Lead the system optimization and improvement

a.    Provide analysis, insight, and feedback for improvement both to customer and SCIVIC Engineering higher management

b.    Optimize processes to attain lower manufacturing costs, increased productivity and reduced cycle times

c.     Functionality extension if necessary

6.    Team building and technical contribution

a.    Contribute to project teams to ensure the successful completion of team objectives

b.    Find solutions to problems areas in existing operational procedures. Interfaces with internal/external engineering, project management and external customers.

c.     Technical communication with stakeholders/suppliers/customers, or industrial communities.

d.    Lessons learned regularly

e.    Technical summary and reports as required
