The Position


The candidate hired for this position will work closely with the managing partner on significant cases. We seek a highly skilled and experienced attorney who will aggressively move cases forward from pre-litigation through discovery and trial. This position is best suited for someone with strong litigation experience and who will not need much training beyond learning our law firm’s systems and procedures. This position requires a track record of demonstrating results and adding value to significant and/or complex personal injury and wrongful death cases.


Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of personal injury litigation experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years plaintiff’s personal injury litigation experience.
  • Trial experience is required.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing abilities.
  • Must have extensive experience taking depositions of both lay and expert witnesses, drafting and arguing motions, and handling day-to-day case management.
  • Ability to work autonomously and with direction from managing partner.
  • An individual who is highly ethical, motivated, and will go the extra-mile.


Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in all stages of personal injury cases, from initial consultation through to settlement or trial when necessary.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and research to add value to client cases.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and mediations.
  • Prepare for and conduct trials, including jury selection, opening statements, witness examination, and closing arguments.
  • Collaborate with legal support staff to ensure timely and effective case management.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and address their concerns.
  • Stay current with developments in personal injury law.
