With principal offices in Chicago, Houston, Dallas, and Boston, Priority Power provides supply-side procurement, risk management, sustainability services, and overall energy management solutions to clients throughout North America. Priority Power operates a family of brands in the energy structuring space including Satori Energy, Energy Solutions, Atlas Retail Energy, and Power Brokers. This position primarily supports the Atlas Retail Energy brand. The position of Energy Analyst (EA) works in a team-based environment. The EA will be responsible for and will get exposure to certain aspects of the company including, analyses for sales support, client deliverables & interaction, and database maintenance. The analyst role will challenge the individual to critically think and analyze, use creative solutions, and solve problems.
Ideal Candidate
The EA possesses very good Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, has meticulous attention to detail, and is confident and comfortable working with numbers. The candidate must be a team player and have a strong work ethic and the ability to learn on the job. A highly motivated, confident, independent, yet team-oriented person is expected. Experience in deregulated energy markets is a plus.
· 2-4 years minimum data analytics experience
· 2-4 years energy industry related experience a plus
· Advanced with either Microsoft Excel or programming language equivalent.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, engineering, finance, or economics
· Proven success in overcoming rejections/failure
· Ability to perform under pressure
· Ability to problem solve with little to no guidance
Further description of the roles and responsibilities:
Analysis
- Data analysis and back-office assistance
- Review and validate historical summary data
- Submit pricing requests to suppliers and work with suppliers to obtain pricing
- Support team members to assist in closing business
- Process executed contracts and conduct billing audits
Client Deliverables
- Assemble and review pricing proposal deliverables before sending to team members
- Compile energy budgets by utilizing pre-existing forecasting templates
- Reforecasting specific client cost-based charges as a result of changes in market conditions
- Interactions with existing clients including e-mails, phone calls, and follow-ups
