Security Awareness Training SME

We are seeking a Security Awareness Training SME to lead and oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Statewide Security Awareness Training Program, encompassing over 50,000 users, including State employees and contractors. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in designing and maturing security awareness initiatives in medium to large-scale organizations, leveraging advanced platforms like Proofpoint Security Awareness Training to achieve measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Oversee the management and execution of the Statewide Security Awareness Training Program.
  • Content Development: Design, implement, and continuously mature training content tailored to organizational needs and security policies.
  • Platform Administration: Administer and optimize the Proofpoint Security Awareness Training platform to ensure engagement and effectiveness.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Develop metrics to measure program success, report results to stakeholders, and implement improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, cybersecurity, and HR, to align training initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure training programs meet regulatory requirements and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and managing security awareness programs for medium to large organizations.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with the Proofpoint Security Awareness Training platform.
  • Certifications: Possession of one or more certifications: CISSP, CISM, CDPSE, CRISC, or CIPM.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of security awareness strategies, cybersecurity principles, and program development best practices.

  • Strong analytical skills for assessing program effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
