You will join the IT – Global Networking team in the Houston office, contributing to the global operations and supporting the mission to deliver reliable energy solutions worldwide.
About the Role
As a Network Analyst, you will be integral to maintaining and enhancing the enterprise network. Reporting to the Manager of Network Services, you will support the operations team by managing network performance, handling configuration management, and providing technical assistance for field networks.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring network health, addressing performance issues, utilizing Apache's service portal for managing requests and outages, and collaborating on scheduled maintenance activities. You will also identify innovative solutions to optimize existing applications and technologies, ensuring seamless communication with end users and peers globally.
About You
You will be a highly skilled Network Analyst with a strong background in troubleshooting within large enterprises. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
Your technical expertise should include experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless hardware, and network management tools like SolarWinds.
Familiarity with Riverbed WAN optimization, Gigamon, Wireshark, and Splunk is a plus.
Knowledge of EIGRP, BGP, VPNs, network security, software-defined networking, and Cisco ISE/NAC is essential.
Previous experience in the oil and gas industry and a collaborative approach to field support will set you apart as a top candidate for this role.
