Lead Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) efforts for New Product Development programs. Technical point of contact for Manufacturing issues for Engineering and Leadership teams. Actively participate in PFMEA efforts to identify possible failures, assess the possible effects of those failures & implement the improvements identified by the team. Actively participate in new product design review meetings. Drive continuous improvement efforts by identifying and developing process optimization opportunities.

  • Minimum BS degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, materials engineering or equivalent.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Work experience in this field for at least 5 years
  • Practical experience in various production technologies
  • Extensive knowledge of problem-solving methodologies (5why, Ishikawa…) and quality methods such as FMEA, SPC

Work closely with design engineering to evaluate new designs as part of the product life cycle (PLC) process.  Review and evaluated all documentation used in production for proper methods and process controls.  Transition new products into production and process development (NPI).
