Principal Electrical Engineer
Duration: 6 months Contract (Possible Extension)
Location: Indianapolis IN (Required USA locals only, Security Clearance needed)
Competitive pay rate is available
Responsibilities:
- Architect electrical systems and subsystems performing requirement review, analysis, and derivation; performing trade studies for critical subsystem and component selection; performing circuit analysis on power schemes and digital and analog interfaces.
- Design electrical systems to meet a set of requirements, sometimes defining those requirements.
- Utilize analog electronics simulation tools such as LTSpice and power conversion simulation programs like SIMPLIS or SABER to model design performance.
- Familiarity with component selection and schematic capture.
- Perform electrical schematic capture in Altium Designer and guide Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through PWB layout and technical drawing creation.
- Utilize analysis and simulation tools like Mathcad and MATLAB to assess electrical design performance and robustness.
- Lead the electrical design team in developing and performing design reviews, system integration, and system verification and validation testing.
- Mentors junior engineers.
