JOB SUMMARY

The RIA Trader will serve our advisors with excellence by processing trade requests accurately and in a timely manner. This position will be a key asset to serving our advisors and enabling our firm to continue its growth path. They will produce a high level of accuracy even when completing tasks that some may consider repetitive. This position requires careful attention to detail paired with a strong desire to deliver high-quality customer service for those we serve.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Update all investment solutions (security sets, models, sleeves, etc.) as requested by investment managers, in accordance with established SLAs
  • Process maintenance trade requests
  • Monitor and audit trade execution for accuracy
  • Consult and Facilitate IARs on efficient model organization
  • Identify and communicate Tax-Loss Harvesting opportunities for custom accounts
  • Trading software and database management
  • Other projects or tasks as needed


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience RIA trading
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics or similar
  • Experience in investment management and/or financial advisory services
  • Experience with any of the following software or custodial platforms desired: Orion Eclipse, iRebal, BlackDiamond
  • Experience with tax-loss harvesting, tax transitions, or maintaining models for multiple managers
  • Detail-oriented, meticulous, accurate, organized, able to set priorities, and communicate effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Team player and self-starter with ability to take specific direction
  • Desire/ability to work successfully in a small company environment


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Eligible for discretionary bonus which depends on the success of the firm

  • Location: prefer Birmingham, AL or Maumee, Ohio, but open to a remote hire for the right candidate
  • Compensation range of $60-$90K+, and will vary based on experience and location
