Shift: 1st Shift, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (100% Onsite)

Pay Rate: $21/hr. -$24.87 /hour

Free Parking Available

No Overtime Required



Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Garnishment Processing Specialist to join their team in Portland, OR. This role is a new need due to the team moving into a new system and the loss of previous workers. As a Garnishment Processing Specialist, you will be working with a team of 15 members focused on garnishment processing. Although the team is spread across different locations, all interactions will take place via email, Teams, or in person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process court-ordered garnishments directly from court documents.
  • Perform intakes and examine garnishment documents to identify the necessary actions.
  • Understand and determine next steps based on the specifics of the garnishment documents, which can vary by state.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office (Excel) and Adobe software for document handling.
  • Work with the current database (.NET) to close tickets and process negative files.
  • Scan and handle incoming documents in PDF format, with some manual handling of mail and checks.
  • Collaborate with leads for training and ongoing development.
  • Adhere to daily goals and deadlines, ensuring all orders are completed and processed efficiently.

Required Skills:

  • Background in legal or paralegal work in any capacity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with Adobe.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adaptable and flexible in handling tasks that can change daily.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing documents.
