What you will do as an Associate Project Manager:
- Support the Strategic Initiatives Manager in the completion of a range of initiatives including new business ventures and strategic partnerships for the Oneida Indian Nation’s diversified portfolio of brands to drive economic development.
- Manage multiple strategic initiatives by developing and administering a plan to ensure the project’s successful completion.
- Act as the project coordinator to ensure all stakeholders execute his or her role, while maintaining an accurate record and transfer of information.
- Communicate with and motivate internal/external stakeholders to keep the project aligned on the organization’s goals.
- Adjust schedules, milestones and targets as needed throughout the project’s life cycle to ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Maintain an external mindset, including staying on top of industry, consumer, competitive, and macroeconomic/geopolitical trends.
- Assess and mitigate potential risks.
- Determine practical and implementable recommendations.
- Undertake additional ad hoc tasks and projects as delegated to support overall project objectives.
To be successful as an Associate Project Manager, you'll need:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business discipline required. PMP certification is a plus.
- A minimum of 2 - 4 years’ experience as a project administrator
- A positive, decisive self-starter, with the ability to take initiative and accountability to drive progress while managing priorities across multiple complex projects
- Adeptness to work in a professional, fast paced organization
- Excellent problem-solving capability
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Solid organization skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Interpersonal, leadership qualities with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment
- Excellent time management skills
