Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, analysis, and specification of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems for various building types.
  • Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers, overseeing project delivery from concept through construction.
  • Coordinate with architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and efficient system designs.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, inspect installations, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Ensure all electrical designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulations, including NEC and local NYC codes.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in sustainable and energy-efficient electrical solutions.
  • Assist with project budgeting, cost estimates, and procurement of electrical equipment and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) license preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the MEP sector.
  • Expertise in power distribution, lighting, and low voltage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams and complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
